Perfection Dermagraphics is the first tattoo studio in the greater Chicagoland area to offer both cosmetic and custom art tattooing. Perfection Dermagraphics has been serving the northwest suburbs since 1991. We are the only legal and licensed shop in Des Plaines and the surrounding suburban area. We are also registered with the Department of Health.
We strive to provide the absolute best work possible. We also feel that all customers should feel comfortable and safe with their tattooing. Here are some of the key points that support our philosophy:
- We have three separate tattoo rooms that may be closed for privacy.
- Each room is thoroughly cleaned after each tattoo with individual containers for sharps disposal.
- Every artist attends a bloodborne pathogens and infection control class annually.
- We are also an entirely disposable and completely
latex free studio:
- No needles or tubes are ever reused. They are properly disposed after each procedure.
- We use nitrile gloves exclusively to eliminate any potential allergic reaction.
What we won't do at Perfection Dermagraphics:
-
Tattoo anyone under the age of 18, with or without parental consent. This is Illinois state law. A photo ID must be presented and we will photocopy it for our files.
-
Allow studio entry by minors (under the age of 18) unless acompanied by their own parent. This does not allow the minor to be tattooed. Please do not bring your under 18 friends with you, they will be carded and not admitted.
-
Quote a tattoo over the phone. As we specialize in custom tattooing, it is important to have face-to-face discussion with the tattoo artist to determine the price of a tattoo. Our work is moderately priced and the studio minimum is $70 for body art.
-
Tattoo anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or those who are sick, pregnant, or nursing. Come back when you're not.
-
Tattoo out of your home for a "tattoo party." This
is wrong on many levels including the inability
to maintain a clean and safe environment and in Illnois it is illegal. Our
professional artists only tattoo in a studio
environment or tattoo shows specifically designed
and prepared for this level of safety.
-
Discriminate. That being said, we reserve the right to refuse to create or tattoo any design at the discretion of the artist.
-
Provide tattoo artwork before the completion
of the tattoo. Our artists are highly gifted
and only take a nominal art fee (applied
to the tattoo price) for the creation
of custom designs. It is the policy of all
our artists that no artwork will leave the
studio until the tattoo is completed.
-
Drugs and Alcohol. Perfection Dermagraphics maintains a drug and alcohol free environment. No artist or patron is to enter the facility under the influence and cannot bring drugs or alcohol onto the premises.

Now three years into his tattooing career, he continues to expand his skill set, both as an artist and a tattoo professional.
